Spreading their wings

Knowledgeable Nutcracker patrons can readily see the immense talent of our local dancers, most of whom study at the Jean Evans Weaver Center for Dance. To hone their craft, many compete for spots at summer dance programs with professional ballet companies. This year, dancers attended: Pacific NW Ballet; Miami City Ballet; University of Indiana-Jacobs School of Music; Joffrey South; Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet; Mobile Ballet and DeCruz Ballet.
