Alexandra Rene’ Jones was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she was trained by Kyra Nichols, Carla Körbes, Sarah Wroth, Michael Vernon, Sasha Janes and Christian Claessens. While at IU, Jones earned her BS in Ballet, an Outside Field in Kinesiology, a Minor in Psychology and became a nationally registered and certified EMT. Upon graduating in 2021, Jones joined Ballet Rhode Island, formerly known as Festival Ballet Providence, under the direction of Kathleen Breen Combes and Yury Yanowsky. She performed with the company for two seasons. In 2023, Jones moved to New York City to join Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH).
She is currently in her second season with DTH, and has had the privilege of dancing ballets by Artistic Director Robert Garland, as well as works by William Forsythe and George Balanchine.
